Privacy Policy — Email Finder

Extension: "Email Finder — Auto Email Collector" · Last updated: July 30, 2026

Short version: Email Finder has no server and no remote access. Every email address it finds is stored only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. Nettfify Digital never sees, receives, or has access to any address the extension collects — not the addresses themselves, not the pages they came from.

This policy explains what the Email Finder browser extension ("Email Finder", "the extension") does and does not access, and how the information it collects is stored and used. Email Finder is developed and maintained by Nettfify Digital ("we", "us").

1. What the extension collects

Email Finder automatically scans the pages you visit for email addresses, so you don't have to hunt for contact details by hand. It looks in two places only:

Visible page text — the text rendered on the page, matched against a standard email-address pattern.
mailto: links — the address portion of any "email this person" style link on the page.

It does not read page source code, scripts, JSON data, or any hidden/obfuscated content, and it does not decode disguised email formats (e.g. "name at domain dot com"). It only collects what's actually visible or linked on the page.

2. Where that data goes: nowhere but your device

Email Finder has no backend server and makes no network requests of any kind. Every address it finds is written straight to your browser's built-in local storage (chrome.storage.local), on the same device where the extension is installed:

Never transmitted to Nettfify Digital, to the sites you visit, or to any third party.
Never synced to the cloud or to any other device.
We — the developers — have no access to your collected emails. There is no dashboard, account, or server-side copy for us to see, because none exists.
Visible only to you, inside the extension's own popup and settings page.

3. Your control over the data

Pause anytime — a toggle in the toolbar popup stops all scanning instantly.
Exclude specific sites — add any domain in the settings page and Email Finder will never scan or store emails found there.
Export — download your own collected addresses as a CSV file at any time, generated entirely on your device.
Delete anytime — a "Delete all collected emails" button in settings wipes everything immediately.
Automatic cleanup — uninstalling the extension removes all collected data along with it.

4. Permissions we use, and why

Permission	Why Email Finder needs it
`storage`	Saves collected email addresses, paused state, and your excluded-sites list locally via `chrome.storage.local`, on-device only.
`unlimitedStorage`	Lets your local email history grow beyond the browser's default storage cap without hitting errors, since everything is stored on your own device.
Content script on all pages	Runs the scanner on the pages you visit so it can find visible email addresses and `mailto:` links as you browse. It reads page content locally and never sends it anywhere.

5. Third parties

Email Finder does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No cookies are set by the extension, and no data — including any email address it finds — is sold, rented, shared, or transmitted to any third party, because it never leaves your device.

6. Children's privacy

Email Finder is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age, and in any case have no access to the data the extension stores, since it never reaches us.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of Email Finder adds a feature that changes how data is handled — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above before that change ships.
