Privacy Policy — Font Finder

Short version: Font Finder does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs, and it does not send any information to Nettfify Digital or any third party. Everything the extension does happens locally, inside your own browser.

This policy explains what data the Font Finder browser extension ("Font Finder", "the extension") does and does not access, and how the small amount of information it stores locally is used. Font Finder is developed and maintained by Nettfify Digital ("we", "us").

1. Data we collect

We collect nothing. Font Finder does not have a server, does not make network requests, and does not include analytics, error-reporting, or advertising libraries of any kind. We never see your browsing activity, the pages you visit, or anything you click on with the extension.

2. What the extension stores locally

When you use the font picker, Font Finder reads styling information (font family, size, weight, and color) from the specific text element you click, and shows it to you in the popup. To power the "Recent fonts" list, this information is saved using your browser's built-in local storage (chrome.storage.local):

Stored only on your own device — never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
Never shared with Nettfify Digital, advertisers, or any other third party.
Visible only to you, inside the extension's own popup.
Deletable at any time via the Clear button in the popup, and removed automatically if you uninstall the extension.

3. Permissions we use, and why

Permission	Why Font Finder needs it
`activeTab`	Lets the extension read the page you're currently on, only when you click the extension icon or start the picker — not in the background, and not on any other tab.
`scripting`	Injects the small picker script into the active page so it can highlight the element you hover over and read its font details. Runs entirely inside your browser.
`storage`	Saves your local "Recent fonts" history as described in section 2, on-device only.

4. Third parties

Font Finder does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No cookies are set by the extension, and no data is sold, rented, or shared with any third party, because none is collected in the first place.

5. Children's privacy

Font Finder is a general-purpose developer/design tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age, because the extension does not collect information at all.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of Font Finder adds a feature that requires collecting data — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above before that change ships.
